Gianluigi Boleto
Gianluigi Boleto, known artistically as ZAU3D, was born on December 12, 1957, in the historic center of Genoa—at a time when the city was still marked by ruins but teeming with life. The Fiat 500 had just begun to cruise Italian roads, and the first satellites had started orbiting overhead. He lives and works in Genoa, where he graduated from the KLEE-BARABINO Art High School.
Always passionate about giving shape to ideas and imagination, he approaches his work with both playfulness and thoughtfulness, aiming to spark curiosity, reflection, and questions. His artistic practice includes a variety of techniques—often combined—such as photography, iron sculpture, drawing, and digital manipulation. Each medium, with its own character, guides his hand and mind down different creative paths.
Since 2012, he has been developing the Iron Tree project, which reflects his tactile and poetic approach to form.
Since 2011, he has regularly taken part in both group and solo exhibitions. His solo shows include:
Uno Sguardo (2011)
Assenza
Lounge Voltaire

Seriamente un gioco
