Zoran Grinberg was born in Paris in 1968. Twenty years later, he began a long period of training, alternating activities directly related to sculpture in various materials such as wood, stone, and marble (during which he worked as an assistant to the Argentine sculptor Jack Vanarsky), with others related to set design and monumental art (including restoration work on the facades of the Louvre). At the same time, he studied drawing and modeling, developing his own personal creative style. In May 2000, he settled in Carrara.
Here, he embarked on a commissioned work path, collaborating with various sculpture workshops. His main collaborations took place with the Stagetti studio in Pietrasanta and the Nicoli laboratory in Carrara. Since 2007, he has been organizing summer sculpture courses. Grinberg continues his personal work of stylistic research and refinement of his creative poetics. While figures often occupy a central place in his work, their placement in space is equally important, with the artist leaving the measurements unspecified, creating an imaginary atmosphere that explores the most intimate feelings and different aspects of human expression.
