The Officina d'Arte Ponte di Ferro, an artists’ collective workshop dedicated to sculpture since 2006, is a space for experimentation, inclusion, multicultural exchange, and the development of young artistic talents. Founded by students from the Academy of Fine Arts in search of a working space, Ponte di Ferro has grown into a unique cultural hub, born from the regeneration of abandoned industrial sites into art laboratories. Over the years, internationally renowned artists, professional sculptors, artisans, and students have worked—and continue to work—in the space.
In addition to the creation of marble artworks by its members, the workshop also organizes sculpture and painting technique workshops, offers experiential tourism focused on the marble production chain, curates contemporary art exhibitions, provides space and equipment for supplementary teaching in collaboration with the Academy of Fine Arts, and promotes artist residencies aimed at fostering intercultural exchange on a transnational level.
