We like to describe the story of our Studio as a romantic tale... it all began 18 years ago with an old wooden stamp we bought in London at the Portobello flea market: the stamp features a nautilus, which later became our logo. At that time, we were still students at the Academy of Fine Arts. One of our dreams was to create a space where we could work, host friends and artists, and bring projects and collaborations to life. Since then, much water has passed under the bridges, and we've had many experiences, but we never stopped believing in that dream. And so, in an old country house in 2012, Studio Nautilus began to take shape. Immersed in greenery but not far from the city center, partly “hidden” by large willows, we work on our projects and ideas.

Behind the “Nautilus Art Project,” as we like to call this dream, there are us—Claudia and James—partners in life and work, but there are also our children, Daphne and Aidan, and above all, many friends, supporters, and artists whose energy fuels and helps the project grow. Since life is “an ever-changing whole,” mutable and impermanent, we hope to always move forward, to keep dreaming, believing, and nurturing our idea of art: harmony with natural elements and emotions, a blending of languages, new styles mixing with tradition.
