Born in Legnago in 1976, he lives and works in Carrara. His first contact with marble came at the age of thirteen, when he began working for the company Mantovani Marmi in Cerea (VR).
In 2000, he broadened his professional experience by collaborating with various industrial-level workshops specialized in the import and export of marble and granite. At the same time, he attended evening courses at the Appio Spagnolo school until 2006, where he studied:
– carving
– interior design
– classic and ornamental furniture drawing
In 2007, he took several open courses in portraiture at the Cignaroli Academy in Verona.
In 2003, he launched his independent career as a sculptor and artisan.
In 2009, he moved with his family to Carrara, where he worked for four years in collaboration with the Nicoli sculpture studios.
In 2013, he returned to his personal studio in Casaleone, focusing on original marble works and commissions for collectors and art lovers.
In November 2022, he moved back to Carrara, where he opened a new workshop at Via del Commercio 8.
“My first real encounter with the art of making happened when I was ten years old: I built a wooden airplane with bicycle wheels and a real propeller, given to me by my neighbor, a model-making craftsman. From that first creative project, I understood that working with my hands would become the passion of a lifetime. At thirteen, I entered a stonemason’s workshop as an apprentice. After nine years, I had developed a solid technical skill, which was widely recognized. My thirst for learning led me to attend drawing courses and later to the Cignaroli Academy, where I studied modeling and portrait techniques. Now, at 48, I still feel I haven’t finished studying or learning. Art is a continuous learning process that makes you grow every day. Visiting exhibitions, working side by side with other artists, and sharing ideas all deepen my love for what I do. My passion for art is life itself—an ongoing will to create.”
