Laboratorio Menconi

Location MONTI

Sculpture, installation, ceramics

Our marble workshop is located in Carrara and brings together a group of artists from different countries. We all studied sculpture at the Carrara Academy of Fine Arts and share the same passion for working with stone. Each of us brings a unique set of techniques, sensibilities and visual memories that interweave in the material, transforming marble into a ground for dialogue. In the workshop we collaborate, experiment and share our experiences to create projects that combine artistic and craft skills, maintaining a connection with the tradition of Carrara marble while renewing it through contemporary perspectives and personal visions.
