Atelier Carrara was founded in 2003 on the most artisanal and historic street one can find in Carrara, Via Carriona: 2000 years of marble blocks have passed through here.
The workshop has grown over the years thanks to its two partners, Andrea Lugarini and Raul Bertagnini, who, immediately after attending the Marble Institute, began working in various stone workshops, learning different techniques from the last craftsmen of sculpture, who unfortunately are scarce today.

Atelier Carrara is a true art workshop where only marble is worked, preserving the art of handcrafted work and the use of old systems and methods both in craftsmanship and artistic production. It collaborates with workshops in the area and around the world in the creation of works for design, architecture, funeral art, turning, inlays, restorations, and also organizes sculpture courses and tours in the quarries with historical explanations.
