Since 1990, Arco Arte has offered an ideal place of encounter, learning and growth for all those who wish to learn how to sculpt marble in a relaxed and friendly setting, experiencing the pleasure of art through two-week courses. The Arco Arte marble SCULPTURE centre, founded in 1990 by sculptor Boutros Romhein, comprises working courtyards, various types of accommodation, a recreational space and a kitchen. The essential idea is to allow participants to "work and live" on the same site, with the privilege of being able to pursue their artistic activity by hand until late in the evening, outside of regular lesson hours, so as to guarantee each resident a respectful tranquillity and a pleasant environment, while still satisfying their need to interact with and work on their sculptural piece.
