I was born in Caracas, and I live and work in Carrara. My small paintings are born from my passion for people and their stories; made on small wooden panels with acrylic paints and pigments, they are a little notebook for capturing fleeting emotions -- like a reminder, a user's manual, a freeze frame. And then you go back. This body of work (around 40 panels) was exhibited at the Gattarossa Art Café in Piombino and in Sarzana in 2016 under the title "Scampoli" (Remnants). I chose "Scampoli" because it brings to mind a bazaar full of fabrics: some have been turned into sumptuous garments and draperies -- joyful, serious or seductive -- others into comfortable, durable workwear. It is the part that was left over, what remained.
